This privacy policy explains how we process your data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

3. Data collected when you visit our website
When you visit our website, we process the following data for technical and security reasons:
- Shortened IP address
- Date and time of access
- Browser type and version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL (previously visited page)
- Number of pages viewed
This data is collected automatically and stored for seven days on the basis of our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in ensuring security and proper operation.
Our website does not set cookies and does not use any tracking or analytics services.
4. Website hosting and development
We use Danube Data to host our website. Danube Data processes the minimal technical data required to deliver content and optimize performance. The processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
5. Contact and communication
If you contact us by email or through forms on our website, we process the following where provided:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Company details
- Message content
This data is processed in order to handle your inquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). It is stored for six months unless a statutory retention obligation applies.
For the technical transmission of inquiries sent through the contact form we use the service Static Forms (api.staticforms.dev). The data entered in the form is transmitted to us via this provider’s servers. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
6. Job applications
When you apply for a job (e. g. by email to kontakt@lakesights.com), we process the application data you send us (e. g. resume, references, contact details, qualifications) solely to carry out the application process. The legal basis is § 26(1) BDSG (German Federal Data Protection Act) in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Application documents are deleted no later than six months after the application process has ended, unless statutory retention obligations apply. We store them for longer (e. g. to consider you for future openings) only with your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time. Application data is treated confidentially and made available only to the people involved in the application process.
7. Data sharing and transfers
We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Data is processed within the EU or under GDPR-compliant mechanisms.
